Family fun, good food and hot music take the stage at Zfest

Mark your calendar and get ready for a good time! The Zachary Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting the family-friendly 7th annual Zachary Arts & Music Festival (Zfest) on the grounds of BREC’s Community Park, 20055 Old Scenic Highway in Zachary.

As many as 100 regionally and locally-renowned artists will be selling their works, and everyone will enjoy the incredible food, a petting zoo and pony rides, paddleboats on the lake, a climbers’ rock wall, a bungee bounce, a mechanical bull, a gyroscope and many more activities for all ages.

A sampling of the food includes barbeque, seafood, funnel cakes, hot dogs, nachos, hamburgers, Cajun dishes, jambalaya, and the tempting fried Twinkies and fried Oreos. And don’t forget the sno cones, ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy and sweets galore.

“The wonderful food is one of the things that make this festival so great, and this year we have a wide variety of items to choose from,” said Festival Director, Megan Andrews. “The artists and craft vendors will also be offering many beautiful and unique pieces.”
