What they created was Me-Pa’s Diner, combining nicknames their five grandchildren call them — Meme and Papa. CIS, Lane RMC celebrate joint accomplishments

Since beginning their collaboration in August of 2006, Cardiovascular Institute of the South and Lane Regional Medical Center have performed more than 5,000 procedures in the Lane catheterization laboratory, treating patients with cardiovascular disease. The partnership has resulted in some of the most advanced cardiovascular care in the region. Additionally, CIS and Lane are celebrating a new record for door-to-balloon time— an average of 57 minutes for the first quarter of 2012 and for the last quarter of 2011 — compared to the national average of 90 minutes.
